Biography

Katerina Dankevich is an Austrian opera singer in the voice category Dramatic Soprano. Since September 2021, she has been studying voice at the Joseph Haydn Private University in Eisenstadt. From 2023 to 2025, she was a member of the Chorakademie der Wiener Staatsoper.
She was a finalist of the “Elīna Garanča`s Zukunftsstimmen” singing competition in 2024 as well as in the “Hans Staud Music Prize” in Vienna. In the same year, she performed at the Bayreuth Festival as a member of the festival and extra chorus in Richard Wagner’s “Tannhäuser”.
In December 2024, Katerina sang Gertrude in Humperdinck’s “Hänsel and Gretel” for the first time in a production of the Joseph Haydn Private University. In March 2025, she performed the role of Mary Magdalene in Jacob de Haan’s “Markus Passion” together with the Burgenland Military Band in Eisenstadt, Burgenland.
In July 2025, she appeared as the cover of Flora Bervoix in Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata” at the summer festival “Oper Burg Gars” in Lower Austria. In November 2025, she made her debut as the Alto soloist in “Verdi’s Requiem” at the Basilica of Mariatrost in Graz.
Future engagements will take Katerina to “SchlossfestWalpersdorf” in Lower Austria, where she will make her role debut as Marcellina in Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro” in July 2026.
