Contributions from soprano Katerina Dankevich, whose voice condensed the musical language into a dramatic and sonorous vision of the Passion, touched the audience with its expressive power. The musical language was enhanced by a warm and powerful sound. Finally, music from the world-famous musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" provided a striking contrast.

"Once a Valkyrie, always a Valkyrie" is now the motto for the self-confessed Wagnerian. Katerina Dankevich is currently commuting between Bayreuth and Burgenland. Besides "Tannhäuser," she is singing in the chorus of Verdi's "Aida" at the St. Margarethen Opera Festival. Much of her success is due to JHP vocal instructor Elisabeth Pratscher, who nominated the student for Bayreuth.

For this highly talented singer, performances at the Vienna State Opera began with Giuseppe Verdi's "Otello," followed by "La Bohème." In spring 2024, she will perform Mozart's "The Abduction from the Seraglio." She is also working on "Carmen" by Georges Bizet, as well as "Lohengrin" and "Parsifal" by Richard Wagner. Katerina Dankevich explains: "I belong to the so-called intermediate repertoire and am currently singing the repertoire for high mezzo-soprano."

Dankevich was born into a musical family; her father is a violinist with the Vienna Philharmonic, and her mother is a composer and pianist. When she was four years old, her family moved to Vienna. At the beginning of the year, the opera singer was already given the opportunity to step in at the Vienna State Opera for "La Bohème." At the State Opera, Dankevich is considered an intermediate-level singer and has already sung in performances of Verdi's "Otello."
